No comments:

Sometimes I drove my family to Klebang Beach to enjoy evening scenery. My boys really excited with the beach, especially when they see horses.

The best part, you can have cendol while watching the kites player / seller selling kites. Enjoy the photos from my lens.

Somewhere in Terengganu

Somewhere in Terengganu ..., if you driving from Pahang, using coastal road, you'll definitely will see this lovely gorgeous beach.

This is one of my favorite spot in Terengganu for its natural beauty.

my boys can't stop their selves from jump into the water, while I'm snoring inside the car.

I can't tell you the name of the place as I also can't remember, even I always pass by.

Can you tell me the name of the place?

An evening at Tanjung Emas Muar

1 comment:

This is Alfiqh, 5. He is my niece. His mom working overtime on that day, so I brought him out for recreational. Tanjung Ketapang (located at Tg. Emas, Muar) is the common place for Muarian for recreatinal.

I didn't bring my running gear (because I thought I want to surf the internet, but my wife forgot to bring the wireless modem). So we all have a walk, along the muddy beach at that place. I like the view, really calm. It was low tide during that evening.

Next to the running course, there is located the golf club. Lots of golfers can be seen playing their favorite game. In matter fact, the golf club is the one and only available in Muar. No wonder why the place looks so crowded ( besides of the size can be categorized as small golf course).

We spent for nearly an hour at the beach. There were also a board walk for visitors to see the monkeys and feed them. They look tame but I'm not brave enough to get any closer.. hehehe..

Corus Paradise Port Dickson

1 comment:

Me and my class of 93 SAJOHA alumni will have a gathering at Corus Paradise Resort, PD on April 2010. The committee will go to the resort for site visit on coming Saturday. They will check on the facilities plus to deal with the management. Currently, there will be approximately 40 families will join in the alumni gathering.

What so hot about the Corus paradise? There was an issue about crocodile at the Corus Paradise hotel last January. It was circulated email and published on local newspaper about someone get bitten by crocodile / shark / unidentified biting object. I have checked on it and got the report on my other blog- "Buaya di Corus Paradise PD : FAKTA atau AUTA?" crocodile in Corus paradise: TRUE or LIES.

For me, maybe it is a hoax email circulated. What ever it is, we gonna have fun over there. No matter about the shark or crocodile or whatever it is.   It is lies..

Bayu Beach Resort : good bargain for cheaper rate resort

No comments:

It was after midnight when we reach Port Dickson on Thursday. I was looking around for Port Dickson hotels when suddenly Bayu Beach Resort cross into my mind. I grabbed the phone and ask directory operator for the telephone number. We are lucky as it is still not weekend and Malaysia still in Eid celebration mood. That make it easy to find for resort Port Dickson. Can't be that easy during school holidays.

The hotel deals from Bayu Beach Resort is not bad as the beach hotels sits exactly next to the beach. The bargain is really worth for me as I stay half day at the hotel. Adam Harith really enjoy the swimming pool till the end of time before check out.
Me? Just stay under the coconut tree while he was swimming.. :)

For the breakfast, we had some nasi lemak (coconut rice) and toast. Good enough to make me sleepy (urghhh.. colesterol, cholesterol..). My boy already overloaded with the foods.

For accommodation in Port Dickson, honestly I really recommend you to stay in here. I'm happy with the hospitality and the service is really good for intermediate rates of hotel resort. For couples, there are 1 bedroom hotel or studio room which suits for your resort honeymoon.

Tips for honeymoon : Come here during weekdays as there are less people and cheaper rate price for the rooms.

Pantai batu Burok, Kuala Terengganu

No comments:

We went to Kuala Terengganu last Tuesday. Just for normal routine. Before we left, we had relaxing moment at pantai Batu Burok (beach).

As usual, there were bunches of people had their chill time over there. Viewing the kids playing kites and peoples spent some precious moment there. Honestly, the beach is not suitable for swimming but it is really good for relaxing. Besides the beach, you also can enjoy the foods at the beach stalls : all kind of fish crackers and fried stuffs.

During school holidays, there will be kite selling activities available here. With varieties of kites pattern, sizes and colors are sold here. My boy bought one ... kids are still kids.. :) We are coming here again next week. Hopefully, I will get a hotel resort or a chalet for one night, for a rest before coming back to Muar. Budget hotel or cheapest hotel might be good enough if I'm short of money.

Pantai Klebang : Stay there, swim somewhere else

No comments:
My advice to those who are going to spent holidays in Klebang beach in Melaka. Make sure the beach at the hotel is good enough for swimming. Why I am saying this. There are 2 type of hotel location over there. One is just along the beach, while another type is across the street. If it is accross the street, you probably should cancel it as the beaches at Pantai Klebang is not really nice (unless it is exactly behind the hotel).

Currently, there are some construction is undergoing all along the Klebang Beach. I'm not really sure what it is. So the view is quite irritating with loads of sands. They are pile up and spoil the view.

Maybe you can try Pantai Putri Beach which is about 5km away from Klebang beach, up to the north. There are also hotel and apartment resort availble. Check my previous entry. There are reviews of the hotels plus directory map to get there.

Avillion Port Dickson

No comments:

Port Dickson (PD) is one of the main holiday spot for me and Adam Harith. Sometimes we stop there either for a day trip visit, or staying overnight. There were few hotels and resorts that we've stayed overnight. On our last trip, we chose Avillion Hotel and Resort. It is really worth and I'm very pleased staying at the Avillion. The Avillion hotel (was previously known as Avillion Village) is totally amazing and superb.

There are 3 types of room at the Avillion Hotel and Resort:
  • Garden Chalet
  • Water Chalet
  • Premium Water Chalet
The 'floating mood inside a room' is something you can't miss! Really cool experience if you choose either Water Chalet or Premium Water Chalet. The room rates are varies, as low as

Supposedly, we were planning to stay at Selesa Beach Resort but because of my clumsiness, I forgot to make the reservation.

Why and what is so special about Selesa Beach Resort is the location, exactly on the Port Dickson beach. If you are staying here, the beach is just at the back of the hotel. The beachside of the Selesa Beach Resort is declared as one of the cleanest beach in Port Dickson!

The difference of Selesa Beach Resort with any other hotels is because of the architecture of the building - a Minangkabau Style, which represent the identity of the State (Negeri Sembilan).

Check on the maps to Selesa beach Resort

I will come here during school holidays, but I won't make a silly mistake. I'll make sure to book early as most of the hotels and resorts in Port Dickson are fully booked during school holiday.

Southsea, Hampshire

No comments:

Southsea located in Portsmouth in the county of Hampshire in England, United Kingdom. It is part of Portsmouth, and the centre of Southsea is only a mile from Portsmouth city centre.

Southsea is only a small town but it is famous for the beach stretched over from Clarence Pier to Southsea Castle. Lots of grassland can be seen her with nice greenery views. Lots activities organized here during summer, such as carnival and car boot sales.
Me and Adam at the seafront

The beach at the seafront mostly are flint gravel while the sand only exposed at low tide. It is very nice to have walk on the pathway along the beach, especially when sunset.

A hovercraft service available to Isle of Whight, provides by hovertravel. While ferry service availble from the Hard (Portsmouth Harbour) to Gosport. Make the journey shorter and cheaper, compared if we driving a car. Southsea can be reached using public transport either by bus of train.

There are lots of historic monument here from back to 19th century where the harbour was under military protection from any attack to Portsmouth and the dorkyard. The historical attraction here are :

  • The D-Day museum

Melaka hotels: Pantai Puteri Sandy Beach

No comments:
Pantai Puteri , Tanjong Keling, Melaka

One of the best beach location in Melaka (Malacca) town is located at Pantai Puteri. about 1.3 km away from Melaka Historic City. The beach is still ok if you plan to swim and having picnic.

Check for the map.

lobby area

foyer of the hotel resort

If you are planning to stay in the hotel, there got several hotel along the beach. During my holidays in January this year, my wife and I was staying at Bidara Puteri Beach Resort. The 3 star hotel resort sits on very strategic location either for the beach or for food at the Thai's restaurant nearby (the restaurant sits on the sandy beach - pretty much cool huh!).

view from the main entrance

The specialty about the beach is because of the landscape on the beach, giving nice shaded area. Those trees also stop strong wind from the open sea Straits of Malacca. Pantai Putri is very nice compared to pantai Klebang.

Why?

Pantai Klebang is not a place for swimming. It is just a place for loitering and viewing the sea. Not much you can do over there for public unless you are staying at any hotel along that area.

night view from hotel room's window

Overall, Pantai Puteri is good enough for people to escape busy city life. It is a nice spot for a picnic and relaxing, because of the location nearby melaka Town.

Kuala Terengganu one day trip

No comments:

I went to Kuala Terengganu on last Wednesday to pick up Adam Harith. Suddenly he made a phone call saying that he missed me. With no second thought, I rushed there after finished pasar malam. Left Muar about 11.30pm and reach Kuala Terengganu by 5.00am.

I stopped at Sultanah Hajah Zanariah Mosque, Kuala Ibai, famously known as masjid terapung (the floating mosque). The mosque was design by Malaysian architect ; Raja Bahrin. I snapped some photo using my camera phone. After breakfast. we left Kuala Terengganu by 8.30 am.

The mosque sits on beautiful lagoon, make it looks floating when it high tide. Next to the lagoon is the beach facing South China Sea. This place is perfect for relaxing but not suitable for swimming. If you want to swim, you have to go on the other side, across the lagoon.

How to get to the other side?
Get on the main road, heading to Kuantan, untill you reach the traffic light junction at Chendering). Turn left, about 100 metres, you'll see a signboard heading to Navy Base. Follow the alley and you'll find the beach.

If you are coming to Kuala Terengganu, there are some places that you must visit. Among them are :

  1. Masjid Kristal (Crystal Mosque).
  2. Pulau Duyong : the venue for Monsoon Cup in December.
  3. Pasar Payang (Payang Market) : famously known for their batik clothing, and fish crakers (keropok ikan).
  4. Masjid terapung (floating mosque).
  5. Pantai Batu Burok (well known for the nice view beach and foods)
  6. State Muzium at Cabang Tiga, Losong.
  7. Fish Crackers sellers at Losong.

here is the map of Kuala Trengganu.

Where to stay in Kuala terengganu?

There are several options of from 5 star hotel, to budget hotel. While resort and chalet can be easily found. But be aware that most of the hotels, chalet and resort are fully booked on weekend, especially school holidays. This is because of large number of local and international tourist coming to Terengganu all the time.

Among nice hotels in Kuala Terengganu town such as Primula Beach Resort, Hotel Seri Malaysia, Hotel Grand Continental, Permai Inn Kuala Terengganu (there got more hotels check here) while Batu Buruk Chalet can be considered if you are planning for chalet on the beach (check more chalet).

Night view at Kemaman Town on the way back to Muar, Johor

I will put more review in future.

Favourite spot- pantai chendor sandy beach,Kemaman, Terengganu

4 comments:

I have some favourite spots in Terengganu. This is one of them, Pantai Chendor Kemasik (Kemasik Beach) at Kemaman, Terengganu. Almost every time I passed the beach, I will take some moment to stop here to enjoy the views... It's hard for me to explain how I feel every time I get there. Kind of relaxing and calm... really hard to explain!

For those who enjoy photography, this is among the best spot for you in Terengganu. Terengganu is one of 'must visit' location, if you are coming to Malaysia for holidays. The view open to South China Sea, really amazing and fantastic. The sandy beach is very clean, far from pollution.

On the left hand side, there are fisherman's village, with the fishing boats everywhere. Sits under coconut trees, make it cooler and avoid you from sunburn.
