cup of tea on pagi raya...
We went to this place on winter 2004. Lands End, the last part of South England. The wind so strong because it is open to the ocean. We stayed at the 2 rooms cabin. Very comfy and affordable to rent.
Finally we've made it to Cornwall, southest part of England. If we get there, a small complex of souvenir shop, bar, restaurant and museum are available. You also can purchase the 'certificate' for being to this land, and get it stamped - sold at the souvenir shop. Make sure you have photos of yours with exchangeable signboard showing the distance from Lands End to your city of origin.
What you'll see from the high cliff from end of England? Fantastic view of open sea and rocks, with waves breaking when hitting those rocks and cliffs.
The nearest town to Lands End is Cornwall, a place for tourist to get a cottage to stay or food supply.
Besides Cornwall, we've been to the triplets gigantic dome - The Eden Project, design by Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners. As an architecture graduate, that was really amazing, fantastic, describable moment for me to be there. Seriously, one of my dream was fulfilled.
What is The Eden Project?
The Eden Project is a large-scale environmental complex near St Austell, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The project was conceived by Tim Smit and has quickly become one of the most popular visitor attractions in the United Kingdom. The complex includes two giant, transparent domes made of ETFE cushions, each emulating a natural biome, that house plant species from around the world. The first emulates a tropical environment, the other a warm temperate, mediterranean environment. The project took 2½ years to construct and opened to the public in March 2001.
